Get the bill — “For the energy team to prep it they need the most recent bill — online or paper? If you can pull it up, I’ll attach it.”
Schedule — “They handle the reviews virtually — you’ve got a phone or computer for it? Tuesday or Thursday? Morning or evening?”
“Not interested” — “Totally understand — I don’t want to waste the Energy Educator’s time either. If you’re still getting a bill they’ll at least show you why and what your options are. You get the bill online, right? Tuesday or Thursday?”
“Does it cost anything?” — “No — the review is free. They go through your production and usage, three things you control as the homeowner, and any next steps if something should be addressed.” Never promise savings.
“How did you get my info?” — “SHINE works specifically with existing solar homeowners — we’re already helping a few in this area understand what they have and why they may still get a bill. I’m assuming yours is pretty low — under twenty bucks or so?”
